Search queries you enter (username/name search) are not stored permanently. They are used only to return results in real time.

ℹ️ Note: Location data is only collected when you enable Discover Mode and is deleted when you disable it or delete your account.

📍 Location Privacy

Your Control

You control when your location is shared via the Discover Mode toggle
Your exact GPS coordinates are never displayed to other users
Other users only see approximate distance (e.g., "50m away")
Location tracking stops immediately when you disable Discover Mode
Discover Mode auto-disables after 30 minutes to save battery

Location Storage

Locations are stored temporarily while Discover Mode is active
Inactive locations (older than 24 hours) are automatically deleted
All location data is encrypted in our database

💬 Messaging & Snaps Privacy

Messages are stored on our servers to enable delivery and history between connected users
Snap photos shared between users are stored temporarily through secure media storage services
Snaps may automatically expire or be removed after viewing or after a limited time period
Blocking a user immediately prevents all further messaging and interactions
We do not read your private messages except where required by law or when investigating reports of abuse or violations of our community guidelines

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

When We Share Information

With Other Users: Your profile information (such as name, profile picture, and optional social links) may be visible to nearby users or users who search for you, depending on your settings. Messages and snaps are shared only with their intended recipients.
Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the platform, including media storage, email delivery, and infrastructure providers. These providers process data only as necessary to provide their services and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the safety and rights of our users or the platform.

Active accounts: Data retained while account is active
Unverified accounts: Deleted after 24 hours
Deleted accounts: All data permanently removed within 30 days
Location data: Auto-deleted after 24 hours of inactivity
Messages: Retained until deleted by user or account deletion
Snaps: Removed after delivery and viewing, or within 7 days

👶 Children's Privacy

NowUCme is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use this app.

If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has registered, contact us at support@nowucme.in.

📝 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as we add new features. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
